WINGS WORKSHOP ON WEBSITE TRAINING

A workshop designed to update the content of the website took place on Saturday, June 14th, in the offices of Feminist International Radio Endeavour in Ciudad Colón, Costa Rica, led by Julia Rivera, author of the graphic design of the Wings website. Participants included Margaret Thompson, webmaster of the English version of the Wings website, photographer and member of the group of advisors; María Suárez, coordinator of the Wings of the Butterfly Collective; and Yarman Jiménez, coordinator of the Spanish website also participated.

The workshop focused on training in Dreamweaver tools, such as the use of templates for updating of web content.   It was part of the earlier training developed by  Julia Rivera, as part of the redesigning process of the website.

The updating of web content was coordinated with María Suárez, who facilitates production of written reports and graphic images about the Wings project and progress of "The Labyrinth of the Butterflies" play.  The workshop was also used to check links and other webpage tools in need of maintenance. Participants worked on the structure of the site, the creation of folders and subfolders, editing of images and texts to be used on the website and on designing new sites using templates.
